Administrative Assistant

We are currently seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant to join our team in our New Haven location. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for serving the pregnancy and infant loss community by adhering to the organization’s mission statement in maintaining and working toward program growth.

Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing the daily office functions of Hope After Loss, Inc. The support role includes working with all staff in order for administrative and program functions to be successful.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Associates Degree or certificate program required
Prior Administrative/Clerical experience
Energetic and highly personable
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Detail oriented, well organized and able to perform multiple tasks
Computer experience and knowledge of Google Drive and applications
Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to learn data bases including but not limited to Classy
Able to work independently, take directions and can function as a team member
Direct or indirect experience with pregnancy and/or infant loss preferred

Part Time 10 hours weekly, hourly wage

We are accepting non paid internship positions in both under graduate and graduate levels.

Program positions are available in peer support groups, individual support, burial and cremation financial support, education and outreach program presentations. All appropriate disciplines considered.

Supervision is conducted in conjunction with academic institution requirements.

Experience, and /or desire to gain experience, working in pregnancy and infant loss environment preferred.

Technical and development positions are available in fundraising and data collection grant writing and research and analyzing data. Job requires skills in planning fundraising events and donor solicitation. Expertise in all aspects of social media and web related platforms and willingness to learn new platforms required. Experience in and /or desire to gain experience in working in pregnancy and infant loss environment preferred.


Volunteer positions

Volunteer positions in all aspects of the organization are available. We are looking for those with special skills in technology, web site design, applications, event planning, and program assistance. Our programs include peer to peer support and individual support for pregnancy and infant loss, Burial and Cremation Financial Support, education and outreach.
